Fresh Herb Oils
Basil Oil
INGREDIENTS
1 cup basil
1 cup olive oil
1 tsp salt
PREPARATION
Blend oil and basil together with a hand help processor and add salt to taste.
You can strain the oil to make a light green flavored oil for salad and meats and fish or vegetables, you can also leave it unstrained for a more organic look.
Store refrigerated for about a week.
Makes 1 ½ cups.
Rosemary Oil
INGREDIENTS
1 cup rosemary
1 cup olive oil
1 tsp salt
PREPARATION
Blend oil and basil together with a hand help processor and add salt to taste.
Strain and discard rosemary, use oil on fish or meats or breads or in salad dressings.
Store refrigerated for about a week.
Makes 1 ½ cups.Store refrigerated for about a week.
