Holland and Belgium Summer Greenhouse Crops a comin’!
Although last summer’s Dutch pepper & tomato season ended upbruptly due to a pest situation and the USDA. A pest was found a shipment of HOT PEPPERS with an insect natice to Africa and not permitted to enter into the USA (no visa!) The USDA halted all shipments from Holland during the investigation proceedings, in the end the insect was found to have contaminated (or in simpleton terms leaped onto) a shipment of the hot peppers from a grower who was also importing goods from north Africa for the European market. Needless to say to the USDA closed the investigation, lifted the ban on the goods and everything is set for the season commencing late spring and rolling on in through summer.
We will be offering organic greenhouse crops as usual from Holland; peppers & tomatoes and will be increasing the offering list to include organic cucumbers, specialty cucumbers, organic eggplants and organic specialty eggplant, as well as organic specialty tomatoes and cherry tomatoes. We will also be offering organic bell peppers out of Belgium this year as well.
