Ger-Nis Culinary & Herb Center: Dreams, Hard Work & Passions Lead the Way …
What started off as a seed in a young woman’s head has turned into a reality on the cusp of awakening. On April 10th, 2010 Ger-Nis will host the Grand Opening Gala for their very own culinary herb center. In addition to being a marketing tool for the company as a whole and used to educate the end users on our products and growers we believe in passionately, the center is designed to operate on its own and independent to Ger-Nis somewhat in order to concentrate on teaching the community in which we house ourselves, Brooklyn,NY as well as NYC and the state of New York and the east coast in general.
The center will specialize in a wide range of recreational cooking & education classes for adults and children; promoting healthy eating and living habits through hands on and lecture style classroom environments. Our commitment to our community as well as our planet and an exceptional understanding of the culinary needs of our students of all ages allows us to focus on the entire cooking and eating process, from grower to “cooker”. With a strong emphasis on fresh herbs, the center hosts classes that allow students to gain more knowledge in the origin of the foods they eat, along with how to prepare both elaborate and simple meals, with great ease & joy. The Culinary & Herb Center is a passionate advocate of organic and fair trade communities from all around the world and committed to supporting local chefs, farmers & artisans in our own backyards. At Ger-Nis we take it the entire distance……
